Vanderbilt Visions

Vanderbilt Visions is a first-semester, mandatory program of The Martha Rivers Ingram Commons. Following a common syllabus, faculty members and undergraduate peer mentors lead small groups of first-year students through weekly discussions centered on the academic transition from high school to college, developing a thriving scholarly community, connecting to campus resources, and cultivating habits of critical thinking, intellectual curiosity and academic inquiry. All first-year students must observe the attendance policy of Vanderbilt Visions. Failure to do so may result in corrective action through the University’s accountability process.
